via MTV.COM Could it be that Watch The Throne is going to be completed soon? Perhaps so if this weekend’s photos of Jay-Z and Kanye West together in Paris is any indication. Over the weekend while Jay-Z and his wife Beyoncé soaked up Parisian nightlife amid reports that the Destiny’s Child singer was working nightly on her upcoming fourth solo album, Kayne West and his former Roc-A-Fella Records boss were seen in the Paris streets hopping out of a car with Yeezy carrying a known tool of his trade. Stepping out of a chauffeured Mercedes-Benz, Kanye West was decked out in a shimmery-sleeved two-toned black jacket, black pants and his customary retro Air Jordans. Kanye was also carrying a MacBook, which he has employed many times over in his production and recording – interesting, no? Jay-Z was casually cool sporting his now trademark mini-fro, dark shades, a black t-shirt and some grey jeans along with some crisp all-white sneakers. The Brothers “H.A.M.” looked to be in a hurry in the few photos taken, lending credence to the rumors that Kanye – who has been seen frequently in France in recent times – and Jay are there to not only assist Beyoncé on her music, but to finally complete their much hyped joint project that was promised this summer along with Kanye’s sixth solo record. Kanye West proved he has a tireless work ethic with his GOOD Friday freebie series last year with some pleasant results that actually made his fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. As the story develops, hopeful fans may have some good news and music for their ears coming soon.
via HypeBeast Kanye West teases with a look at the Nike Air Yeezy II, a design that will surely see a release sometime down the line. Looking a bit less flashy than the previous model, the kicks sport a leather upper with off-white midsoles, textured paneling and glow-in-the-dark outsoles, matching a colorway similar to the original Grammy-worn Air Yeezy. Stay tuned for further new and closer looks in the coming weeks. [gallery link="file" columns="2"]
via MTV.com Katy Perry transported "E.T." to the "American Idol" stage Thursday (April 21) and even brought a special guest along with her: Kanye West. The two reprised their recent #1 hit on the "Idol" stage in a pre-taped appearance during the "Idol" results show. The performance kicked off with Kanye's opening verse piped in via music video, so it was a surprise when the Coachella headliner appeared onstage with Perry later in the song. Perry was carried on to the stage, arms outstretched, by three dancers dressed in alien getups, who hoisted Russell Brand's better half high above their heads. Perry was decked out in a white, form-fitting bodysuit tricked out with pink LED lights and a long white cape. She wore some sort of futuristic space crown atop her head, making her look like the queen of a far-off pop planet. Green lasers crisscrossed the darkened "Idol" stage as Perry was placed into a throne-like cage, which was carted across the stage by her team of a half-dozen alien dancers. West took the stage in a leather coat accented with a fur overlay and exercised self-censorship on his verse's "alien sex" line. West and Perry faced off at center stage, moving toward and away from each other to play up the tension between them. In the song's closing moments, Perry softly caressed West's cheek before retreating back to her throne, where the lights dimmed and her suit lit up with blinking, zigzagging lights. Perry and West both have a history with "American Idol." Perry chipped in as a guest judge during the early rounds in season nine, at one point threatening to throw a Coke in Kara DioGuardi's face, and performed "Waking Up in Vegas" -- in an Elvis jumpsuit, no less -- on the show during season eight. Earlier that same season, West took to the "Idol" stage to perform "Heartless," from his 808s and Heartbreak LP, which would later be transformed into a winning performance by that season's champ, Kris Allen. What did you think of Perry and West's performance? Let us know in the comments!

Via MTVNews In what is sure to go down as one of the most memorable performances in Coachella history, Kanye West only disappointed anyone who was expecting the controversial MC to phone in his festival-ending set Sunday night. As his troop of tribal dancers got the stage warmed up, West rose on a platform that soared him above the crowd, asking, "Can we get much higher?" 'Ye took the crowd into his "Dark Fantasy," in a song that shouts out other 2011 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival acts Nas and Kings of Leon. He then urged, "Everybody do the 'Power' clap" and sent fireworks into air. The jams continued relentlessly with "Jesus Walks" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing," a song from 2007's Graduation that had a recent surge in popularity when it was featured in "The Hangover." Nicki Minaj fans were no doubt hoping she'd come out to spit her "Monster" verse, but her Twitter followers were informed that the femcee was in Arizona over the weekend. West's relentless stream of popular tracks, including "Flashing Lights" and "Touch the Sky," kept the captivated masses from leaving to explore what other late-night options were in the festival's tents. And even after "All Falls Down" and "Gold Digger," 'Ye wasn't lying when he promised, "The hits ain't over yet. We just keep goin' and goin'. " "All of the Lights" and "Stronger" followed, and as midnight rolled around, the crowd, desperate for more, was relieved when the screen announced "Act 3" was still to come. When 'Ye returned, it was in his red suit for the "Runaway" anthem. After such an emotional performance, whatever he had left in his heart poured out with "Hey Mama," during which he declared, "This show is dedicated to you, Mama." 'Ye and his dancers then lined the stage and held hands for a triumphant bow. Earlier, the Strokes packed the main stage, tearing through "Under Cover of Darkness," "New York City Cops" and "Someday," in front of lights so bright singer Julian Casablancas joked, "Can you make it brighter in here?" making sure to clarify, "That was sarcasm." Duran Duran, who said, "We have been looking forward to this moment for weeks and weeks," played everything their fans desired. The set, beginning with "Planet Earth," also featured "A View to a Kill," "Girls on Film" and, of course, "Hungry Like the Wolf." Scissor Sisters vocalist Ana Matronic, whose band closed out the Mojave tent Saturday night, joined the '80s icons onstage. In the afternoon, Nas and Damien Marley joined forces, playing both their solo hits and cuts from their collaborative album, Distant Relatives. "Are there any Bob Marley fans out there?" they asked before closing with "Could You Be Loved." Wrapping up the Sahara tent, Steve Angello easily coaxed out any remaining dance energy. And, in front of her adoring fans gathered at the Outdoor stage, PJ Harvey presented mostly new material from Let England Shake. Her Coachella debut was greeted with a sign in the crowd reading, "PJ Harvey is the real closing headliner." She tapped into her earlier albums for "The Sky Lit Up" and her 1995 breakthrough hit, "Down by the Water." Also Sunday, Best Coast took advantage of the remaining daylight to sing the sun off with their sweet soaring vocals; Chromeo had the crowd getting down to their synthed-up funk; and Health brought their frenetic energy to the Mojave tent.
